Lekim Ibragimov is a professor, People's Artist of Uzbekistan, academician of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, delegate of the World Congress of Artists (Paris, 1998).
This world-renowned Master has long won the recognition of art criticism and the public with his amazing works that have no analogues in modern art. All of his work permeates deep links with the ancient, pre-Islamic culture of Asia. According to art historians, his style is a synthesis of traditions of ancient Samarkand murals, calligraphy of Southeast Asia, ancient Turfan frescoes, eastern miniatures and European monumental paintings.
Lekim was born in 1944 in the Alma-Ata region of Kazakhstan in a teacher's family. In 1964 he entered the Art College. NV Gogol in Almaty, which successfully graduated in 1971. Since 1976, that is, since his student years, Lekim Ibrahimov has become an active participant in various republican, all-Union and international exhibitions.
In 1978, Ibragimov was admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR. He is also a member of the Union of Artists of Uzbekistan (since 1996 - the Creative Association of Artists of Uzbekistan at the Academy of Arts). From 1978 to 1986, he worked constantly in the studio of the House of Artists "Sinezh" in Moscow, as well as in the art workshops of the Baltic States.
The professional merits of Lekim Ibrahimov are marked by numerous prestigious awards and titles. So, in 1999 Lekim Ibrahimov was awarded the title of academician of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2001, Academician Lekim Ibrahimov, in recognition of his outstanding merits, was awarded the high title of "People's Artist of Uzbekistan".
In 2008, the world-famous artist becomes an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Vivid evidence of the uniqueness of Lekim's talent, his international recognition among his colleagues and true connoisseurs of high art, is that he is constantly invited to conduct personal opening days and participate in international exhibitions, festivals, congresses of artists and master classes. Lekim repeatedly visited similar visits in Austria, Hungary, Germany, Holland, China and many other countries. He was also a delegate to the World Congress of Artists in Paris.
One of the creative experiments of Lekim was an attempt to present his unique philosophy not only in painting, but also in poetry, which resulted in the book published in Switzerland in 1997, the poetry of the artist.
